Sherrod Williams, Lawyer, was born 1804 and resided in Pulaski County, Kentucky but later moved to Wayne County, Kentucky. My research reveals he died in San Jose, California as a telegram was dispatched March 24, 1870 from San Jose to the San Francisco Chronicle Newspaper stating, Sherrod Williams a past Kentucky State Liegislature "died this evening". The obituary is in the March 24, 1870 San Francisco Chronicle on page 4. Sherrod Williams had followed his son, Thomas Hansford Williams, to California. Thomas Hansford Williams, a lawyer also, had become quite wealthy and resided early on at Coloma, ElDorado County, California where his home has been restored and put on the historical list in 2005. Sherrod Williams is buried in the Colma Cemetery, San Mateo County, California. Rep. Sherrod Williams is on the 1860 Pulaski County Census in the household of Thomas Hansford along with his wife Jane Elizabeth. Clydene Williams Cannon
